Inwood 2 The 'Inwood 2' , completed for Harold Leidner Landscape Architects, conveys the idea of horticultural excellence in landscape design and construction. Located in North Dallas, 'Inwood 2' offers a modern collection of native Texas plants, including bold wildflowers, majestic oak trees, and a comfortable outdoor living space that allows the family to escape from their busy lives. The landscape includes a stylish plant palette of native Texas plants suited to our climate, providing year-round interest and being hardy and drought tolerant. Elegant postcard laminate garden paths created with permeable pavers engaged with this plant palette and created opportunities for managed runoff to infiltrate into the ground. One of the significant challenges of the 'Inwood 2' involved previous understatement of the property's slope that was remedied with grading. Visible grading in the installation and its need as a solution to drainage and to avoid erosion were resolved through the construction of tiered garden beds providing depth and dimension to the ground. The inclusion of a purpose built, dry creek bed further invited the flow of water while serving as a natural focal point. An inviting outdoor living room was made into a more useful space by inclusion of a large patio constructed from natural stone and complete with comfortable seating and all the appliances of a modern outdoor kitchen. Together, this outdoor living space invited family and friends to enjoy the landscape in every opportunity and made entertaining easy. The end result of 'Inwood 2' delighted our clients, all the while they now have an aesthetically pleasing and functional landscape tailored to their ambitions, and enhancing the curb appeal of their home. Thoughtful detail and craftsmanship is evident, and Harold Leidner Landscape Architects’ commitment to providing beautiful sustainable landscape solutions continues to be showcased within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, along with other suburbs including Addison, Coppell, and Highland Park.
