Located in the middle of Silicon Valley, there were specific issues we needed to address such as lack of sun and leaching lots. These challenges were skilfully managed by our team who implemented several species of shade tolerant planting and high grade materials to complement the natural environment. At the heart of this magical outdoor space is a bespoke water feature, which provides a soothing sound dimension, as well as attracts a variety of local wildlife, further enhancing the ecology. Our natural stone fountain includes an energy-efficient pump and offers soothing sounds and sustainable values. Next to the waterfeature we built a beautiful wooden trellis, covered in climbing vines for shade, and an attractive structure. The trellis was constructed from cedar a sustainably sourced wood resistant to decay, so it will be around for years to come. We placed the raised garden beds with a good mix of organic soil which are great for a low-maintenance vegetable/herb garden, even on partial shady spots. Our dedication to environmentally-friendly practices was further reflected in the raised beds, built out of reclaimed wood. The end result is a beautifully balanced garden that provides the perfect space the client envisioned along with sustainable landscaping practices practical example. By blending nature and architecture beautifully, the harmonious design of water and trees with structures forms a visual feast for relaxation and enjoyment. The space has become a favourite place for family and friends to get together and our client was absolutely delighted with the end result.
