About This Project

The Cliffs Lakeside Retreat by Earth Design, Inc. Located amidst the beauty of Upstate nature, The Cliffs Lakeside Retreat showcases the landscape architect talent you expect from Earth Design, Inc. This homesite, one of many that we have transformed into a beautiful oasis, sits upon a lakeside property in the Dunean, Five Forks, Fountain Inn and surrounding areas marks. It incorporated native planting, gorgeous stone pathways, and low-maintenance gardens that complement the natural topography of the land. In doing so, our talented designers curated a selection of seasonal blooms, as well as hardy perennials that would result in both seasonal delight and local biodiversity through all seasons. The expansive outdoor living areas were highly detailed with natural stone sourced from within 80 miles for the patios and retaining, which helped to create spaces that blended seamlessly with their surroundings. Includes some of our biggest challenges including: the steep grade which led to us finding unique solutions to provide grading erosion control on the site. We executed these strategies in a planned manner, allowing us to ensure stability of the landscape while also beautifying it. Tiered garden beds were even able to fit in the yard space while also serving as an aesthetic centerpiece for a plethora of flowering plants and ornamental grasses. The results is a stunning retreat with a lake-side deck where you can spend evenings sitting outside with family and friends. Elegant surroundings ─ the soothing sounds of nature, gardens bursting with color enticing ones sense with the elements of sight and sound. The results had our client on cloud nine this transformation, complimenting us on the wonderful union of function and beauty.
