Earth Design Inc.: Cleveland Forest Restoration Earth Design, Inc. getting nature back into your life by transforming dull outdoor spaces into beautiful landscapes that elevate the aesthetics of a property while bringing a feeling of peace and connection to nature. One such example is the Cleveland Forest Renovation as a testament to our mission of quality craftsmanship and innovative design. This was designed to refresh a space that was an underused backyard for a home in beautiful Greenville County, The client dreamed of a place out in the yard that would have a feeling of sanctuary, be vibrant but still fit into the natural treed area, can be used for family gatherings and recreational activities. Our team created a thoughtful design proposal to accommodate such, which included native plantings, site appropriate materials and functional hardscaping. A stone path, with locally sourced flagstone and leading in a meandering fashion, was one of the highlights of the renovation. This walk way serves a dual purpose, providing an aesthetically pleasing addition to the landscape as well as a practical passage through the foliage. Along this path, we planted some native shrubs and perennials that can withstand the tough weather (both hot and cold) while attracting pollinators and/or providing seasonal interest. In order to solve some of the difficult aspects of site drainage, we engineered a rain garden to leverage the bioretention to facilitate stormwater management, but also provide habitat for the surrounding flora and fauna. Stubble retention not only reduces flooding, but also adds nutrients to the soil to grow plants. The was not without challenges, such as crossing uneven terrain and dealing with existing infrastructure, all of which had to be negotiated throughout the . By working closely alongside our landscape architects and horticulturists, we were able to resolve these challenges, and develop an inspiring physical design that met the brief without reducing practicality and sustainability. Our work culminated in a stunning outdoor space that impressed the client. Cleveland Forest Renovation is an example of Earth Design, Inc. quality landscaping.
