Lovely Arbor K&D Landscaping, Inc. is delighted to present the 'Lovely Arbor' , a special outdoor space designed for a thoughtful client in the lovely coastal enclave of Aptos. The 'Lovely Arbor' exemplifies K&D Landscaping, Inc. commitment to quality, creativity, and environmental stewardship, capturing the spirit of natural California. At the center of 'Lovely Arbor' is a beautiful custom cedar arbor, sustainably sourced from California, that serves as stunning location while providing a shade and a shelter from moisture. Climbing vines of wisteria and jasmine frame the arbor and add to its aesthetic and fragrances. Our talented team was confronted with sloped conditions that required thoughtful planning and building. Our solution included tiered garden beds using natural stone to retain the slope, not only accommodating the slope but creating a visually compelling garden. The garden incorporates flowers incredibly native to California in these beautiful stone beds including California poppies, lavender and succulents, many with low water use systems and capabilities. Additionally, an adventurous gravel path leads to a very inviting space with ample seating surrounded by nature. The paths with permeable pavers allow for drainage while maintaining the moisture levels in the eco-system. We have also created an opportunity for outdoor lighting that enhances the entire experience whether walking along the paths or gazing at the arbor at night. As a whole, the aesthetics and function unite the client’s back yard to become what one may refer to as ‘charming. The detail and consideration throughout the processes was received well by our client, now enjoying their own little oasis for both time spent alone or with guests. 'Lovely Arbor' is much more than just a landscaping . It reflects K&D Landscaping Inc, commitment to performing landscaping work in our beloved service areas of Aptos, Capitola, and beyond.
