Between majestic bamboo groves and artfully clipped maple trees stand meandering stone paths that hint at an auspicious fortune ahead, leading into the garden. Natural materials like granite boulders and river stones quarry sourced within the state not only look great, but also sustainability and permanence. The topography of the site was one of the challenges on this . This presented a challenge which Daryl and team worked brilliantly to turn into an opportunity, as by using different levels they were able to create calm water features that reflected the ever-gleaming streams of traditional Asian gardens. Not only do these vibrant water elements enriched with koi fish and aquatic plants create a purring visual, they also encourage a tranquil spirit. The outcome is a carefully designed atmosphere that encourages a sense of calm and refreshment. Some of the deepest conversation, or some time by yourself, can sit within these custom-built wooden structures that provide a tea house, seating and more. The client loves that the garden has a balance open spaces and nooks and crannies, and can now retreat to their little piece of tranquillity in their own back yard.
