This , located in the heart of Auburn Hills, aimed to convert an underused space into a quiet retreat with a naturalistic feel. At the heart of this elegant scenery lies a bespoke pond enveloped by a soft creek, passing throughout the courtyard. The pond, made of natural stone and edged with aquatic plants, becomes not only a visual element, but also a magnet for local wildlife contributing to its natural ecosystem. You can hear the gentle gurgling sound of the stream making a nice, relaxing sound that serves as background noise. This had many obstacles for Daryl and his team to face along the way from existing drainage problems and how to properly manage water in the pond and stream. By using strategic planning and cutting-edge engineering solutions, they were able to implement a sustainable water feature that adds value to the space and adds beauty to it. It's filled with a variety of hardy native plants and flowers for year-round beauty. The plan was for a mix of foliage and flowers, arranged so that some colour and interest would always be available through the seasons. Natural stone paths lead guests through multiple sections of the courtyard, inviting them to traverse the booming landscape. To ensure durability and minimal harm to the environment, quality materials such as locally-sourced stones and native planting options were used. The end result is a magnificent jewel of an outdoor space that aligns with the client aesthetics while contributing to landscape surrounding. When completed, though, the 'Intimate Courtyard, Pond and Stream' had the luxury landscaping standard new for the region and thoroughly impressed the client. It has made the home a cozy oasis where one can relax, reflect and smile.
