18 Gramercy Once finished, '18 Gramercy' landscaping by PFI - Plant Fantasies, Inc. is a clear reflection of both talent and passion in outdoor design. Located in the middle of Gramercy, this urban hideaway was reimagined into a peaceful oasis that embodies modern design and a tranquil environment. The included a full redesign of the yard with a variety of carefully chosen native plants that will flourish in the climate. We carefully selected a matrix of colourful perennials, ornamental grass, and evergreen shrubberies for year-round beauty while enhancing biodiversity. We added a custom stone path with locally sourced bluestone to make the outdoors more accessible and beautiful. A central water feature with a gentle waterfall provide a calming sound and contributed to the overall intricate structured feeling of the space ripe for restoring mental health. Definitely, the most important challenge we faced was the space in this urban area: the need for space-philosophers in a way, we had to find the solution to provide the beauty with its function and the space with its use. We utilized vertical gardening and placed planters at just the right places, thus utilizing every inch of precious space. Using recycled wood for the seating area, eco-friendly mulch and other sustainable materials connected with our environmentally conscious ethos and added to the ’s character. The final outcome left the client blown away, opening up an unused area to make way for a green oasis that promotes relaxation and entertaining. Clients were thrilled with PFI - Plant Fantasies, Inc.'s signature attention to detail and workmanship that set this design and nature integrated seamlessly. In the case of Gramercy, the '18 Gramercy' embodies our commitment to transforming visions into greenery for all of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island City, the Bronx, and surrounding communities.
