Since LGLA's inception in 1992, we have been instrumental in the planning and design of a variety of public and private projects, from campuses to boutique hotels,commercial buildings, public parks and private residences. Even at the complexity and scale of projects at this Academy, founding principal Lisa Gimmy has long championed solutions that are sustainable and locally appropriate. Designs emerge out of a respect for the cultural and historical reference and reflection to the characteristics of the site. We involve the client participants during the initial planning when most of the program development occurs through advanced program and materials detailing; we want to have a better understanding of what door is open to your project and have plenty of items to evaluate against the budget and schedule parameters. Balancing competing goals and objectives is the essence of any design process; in the balance, we find creative and innovative solutions allowing us to achieve our mission of blending beauty and function to connect people with place through the landscapes we create (LandArc).
