About This Project

Brief: North Dallas 7 Acre Estate Southern Land Design - A Design / Build Firm, formerly Local Color - Design / Build firm, is excited to unveil the completed North Dallas 7 Acre Estate , which truly demonstrates our quality and creativity in landscaping. Located in the highly esteemed North Dallas area, this presented challenges of its own, with various topography and a wish to have both natural beauty and purposeful outdoor living space blended together on the estate. Our team designed a grand scale outdoor landscape, which that features vibrant gardens, tranquil water features, special hardscapes, etc. We utilized both native Texas plants, as well as other exotic plants, to create a colorful quilt of texture and blooms, 365 days a year. The use of drought tolerant materials adds visual aesthetics, as well as other sustainability benefits, to further our environmentally responsible design philosophy. The highlights of this included a breathtaking infinity-edge pool which flows with the topography of the estate and pulls the eye to picturesque views. Curvilinear stone paths weave gracefully through manicured lawns, leading guests to the outdoor areas, which featured a custom gazebo, perfect for hosting guests. At the same time, we were successful in designing solutions for both drainage and erosion, utilizing out-of-the-box grading solutions, combined with beauty. The final is a shining example of luxury living while inviting the tranquility of the outdoors to permeate everyday life. Our client was ecstatic with the transformation, especially the balance between aesthetics and practical living space Southern Land Design has created. This added value to the owners property in addition to creating personal beauty for their family and friends to enjoy for years to come. As we continue to service Highland Park, University Park, and beyond, this North Dallas Estate is a beautiful representation of our commitment to landscaping design and building excellence.
