Garden for a Mid Century Home A 'Garden for a Mid Century Home' created by Daryl Toby of AguaFina Gardens International, this gorgeous is a celebration of modern grace harmonizing with the period charm of mid-century architecture. Located in the lively, highly desirable community of Auburn Hills, this reflects our dedication to quality and design excellence. The landscape design features native plants, sculptural trees, and colorful perennials that represent style from the era, while still being sustainable and low maintenance. Hence, we made the investment; we used quality materials like local stone for the walkways and cedar for the planters, bringing warmth and texture to the area. One of the major challenges of the was the slope of the site that needed to be nessled into cascading garden beds, so innovative grading techniques had to be employed. That made it not only more attractive but also elevated drainage and soil quality. The team of professionals working for us faced tremendous challenges but they worked really hard to overcome those issues and made sure that the landscape did not only look beautiful but it also worked. The end product is a Zen garden escape with a standout feature: a contemporary fire pit flanked by cozy seating, ideal for entertaining or relaxed evenings. Applicable ambient lighting not only retains the view of the garden for friends and family, but at night presents an ideal extension of the home. Our clients are very happy with the outcome and can now enjoy their lovely mid century home with a garden that complements it and is also a reflection of who they are as people.
