North Dallas - Backyard Renovation by Southern Land Design Located in North Dallas, this beautiful backyard renovation reflects the quality craftsmanship and design expertise that clients have come to expect from Southern Land Design, a Design/Build firm. Serving the communities of Highland Park, University Park, Casa Linda, Fair Park, Oak Cliff, Preston Hollow, Redbird, and Uptown, we took a neglected outdoor space and changed it into a tranquil retreat for relaxation and entertaining. The included a total yard redesign, featuring a multi-level patio using durable pavers that are specifically designed for outdoor use, that would add to the aesthetic and usability for years to come. We strategically placed a custom outdoor kitchen that features a stainless steel grilling station and granite countertops that were perfect for gatherings with friends and family. To address the slope of the yard, our landscape architects installed a tiered garden bed system. The plants we utilized were native to Texas and would thrive naturally in their environment. This strategy limited the water use while also providing seasonal color and a visual being a part of the landscape. We also implemented a drip irrigation system to control the verdant plant growth with sustainability and mindfulness. A custom fire pit with natural stone seats is appropriate for gathering with friends in the evening. Soft lighting and a few strategically placed trees were planted for privacy and to address the ample traffic noise the street faced. The final was a stunning backyard oasis for the client that brought beautiful function with a natural aesthetic. The reflects the care and ultimate craftsmanship Southern Land Design provides to our clients, bringing the outdoor territories to be custom places of meaning for years to come.
