About This Project

Bartonville - Ranch Southern Land Design, a top-notch design/build firm, is excited to announce the grand opening of the Bartonville - Ranch landscaping . It was built right here with dedication to the Highland Park and surrounding area communities, including University Park, Casa Linda, Fair Park, Oak Cliff, Preston Hollow, Redbird, and Uptown. This large residential home underwent a total revamp, with a commitment to blending the beauty of nature with the client's request for functional outdoor living spaces. We achieved this by the combination of greatly enhancing and maximizing the drought-resistant native plants and creating a sustainable landscape ecosystem, that can thrive in all seasons. Our skilled landscape designers were able to creatively integrate an interesting array of ornamental grasses, colorful perennial flowers, and specifically selected trees that offer shade and shelter for small animals and birds. One of the challenges of the property was the uneven terrain that extended throughout the area. As we designed a leveled terrace garden to tie into the landscape, we built natural stone retaining walls using stone sourced from the local area to cover the tiers of the garden. The materials serve for structural standing but also offer rustic character to the final design. Finally, we designed a large outdoor patio area, which used quality pavers, the use of custom-built seating, and a fire pit with native limestone boulders for form and function while entertaining family and friends. Our craftsman did a fantastic job building the heat generator, which can serve for warmth, gathering with family, and cooking all the year long! The result is a beautiful landscape that honors our client's vision while contributing to the value of the home. Particularly, the Bartonville - Ranch exemplifies our commitment of quality workmanship and pride of innovation at Southern Land Design for landscaping. We always pride ourselves on exceeding expectations from our clients, and in this case it was no different! Our client was thrilled with their new outdoor space!
