Bridge House by Katherine Field and Associates Set in Newport’s beautiful landscape, 'Bridge House' by Katherine Field and Associates skillfully combines a sense of architecture and nature to complement the spectacular coastal views. This expansive residential landscape successfully blends native plantings, exquisite hardscapes, and practical outdoor living spaces. The commenced with a detailed site analysis, where we discovered unique topography and drainage concerns. We embraced these challenges and made thoughtful design moves to incorporate terraced gardens and retaining walls made of local stone for durability and beauty. Throughout the 's path systems we used permeable pavers, which created beautiful pathways and allowed rainwater to infiltrate naturally into the ground. The design prioritizes biodiversity with a multitude of native plant options that look appealing in the coastal climate and support local habitats. Each plant from perennial flowers to ornamental grasses were thoughtfully selected based on aesthetics, durability, and the ability to support wildlife. A custom-built wooden bridge spans a tranquil water feature, which enhances the design with a focal point while also inviting further exploration into the verdant surroundings. The outdoor living spaces were enhanced with a large patio with a firepit that will serve the family for gatherings or guests. There is also soft ambient lighting to create a magical nighttime experience. Katherine Field and Associates attention to detail is paramount, and the is an example of our commitment to excellence.
