Hyannisport Residence Completed by Katherine Field and Associates This landscaping was a true labor of love for Katherine Field and Associates, demonstrating our commitment to design excellence and execution excellence. The client desired a calm outdoor sanctuary that would seamlessly integrate with its coastal surroundings. The residence was planted with an assortment of native plants, ensuring sustainability while also celebrating the regional landscape. The residence featured a large patio in elegant bluestone for entertaining. We designed a custom fire pit that was surrounded by natural boulders and ornamental grasses, anchoring one side of the patio and serving as a place to gather in the evenings. A meandering path in reclaimed brick led through flower beds containing flowering perennials that ensured color through the seasons. A challenge presented by the property was sloping terrain. Our team designed tiered garden beds to give visual appeal and allow for better drainage. The clients were thrilled with our innovative solution that included a pond that would showcase local wildlife and add tranquility. Sustainable, locally sourced materials were used where feasible for an overall approach of eco-friendliness while designing the residence. Ultimately, our clients' expectations were surpassed, with the outdoor area creating a calming retreat to appreciate the natural beauty of the site.
