Urban Deck + Pergola + Spa by Iris Design Associates In the center of Bealeton, Iris Design Associates has completed the "Urban Deck + Pergola + Spa" that transforms an ordinary outdoor space into a luxurious urban escape. This unique design combines usable and aesthetically pleasing elements for a comfortable escape. The main feature of the features a gorgeous multi-level deck made from premium composite materials for durability and low maintenance. The deck incorporates many seating features-including built-in benches and outdoor lounge chairs-for gatherings with family and friends. To highlight the space, we added ambient LED lights that glow at night on the deck. To enhance the deck experience, we created a beautiful pergola with climbing vines and an area to provide shade for relaxing in the afternoon or dining in the evening. The pergola was made of high-grade cedar wood, which contributed to the natural elements combined with the overall design. One of the highlights of this is a luxurious spa area that has been integrated into the deck layout. The spa area uses natural stone tiles and natural landscaping to create a relaxing escape and is the perfect environment for clients to soak and cleanse in. For added privacy and an urban escape, we utilized tall planters that are filled with greenery to encase the area. During the design process, one of the obstacles we faced was designing features into an area with limited space to work within the boundaries, while designing something that was usable. Our team did this by designing a multi-level layout which utilizes the footprint as an area away from home while creating visual interest. The result for the area was a cohesive and fantastic outdoor living space that fits the client's needs. The end product is a stunning escape that has brought joy to the client and fulfills the location of the urban escape area inside their own backyard for maximum usability.
