About This Project

The Urban Experience, Explained The Urban Experience, Explained, is a landscaping transforming outdoor living in the heart of Chicago's these vibrant neighborhoods, and by Chicago Specialty Gardens, Inc., extending that beauty to Evanston, Glenview, Northbrook, Deerfield, Glencoe, Golf, Highland Park, Highwood, Kenilworth, Lake Forest, Wilmette and Winnetka. Combining all artwork in this comprehensive with modern aesthetics close to natural elements, brings peace into the city life. These include an ornate multi-level garden populated with native plants, ornamental grasses and perennials that afford year-long colour and texture. The gorgeous stone pathway is made from locally mined bluestone, leading through a curated landscape that encourages wandering, reflection and repose. Site limitations and history with paving were significant challenges throughout this work. To work around these restrictions, we relied on vertical gardening methods and raised planters to reinforce planting while also providing more architectural interest. We used sustainable materials like recycled pavers and mulch that use less fossil fuel to manufacture. Together the hardscape and softscape components forming a final solution that fits in with its urban setting and maximizes urban biodiversity. Our clients were so thrilled and now consider their new outdoor space both a retreat and an extension of their home. Every visit is now different, as the garden changes with the seasons, a testament to the quality of work and ingenuity from Chicago Specialty Gardens, Inc.
